This is a general guide as to how long it takes the Garment Goddess to make various items. Since she charges by the hour rather than by the item, she has estimated how many hours of construction goes into various garments. Construction time may vary with each piece depending on the type of fabric you choose, what kind of trim you want, how elaborately something is decorated, etc. and any other unanticipated difficulties the Garment Goddess may encounter while making your costume. Please keep in mind these hours reflect not just simple sewing time, but also laying out designs and patterns and cutting the fabric itself.
These prices are NOT a guarantee of exactly how much you will be charged.
That said, it would be highly unusual if the Garment Goddess was off by more than a hour in making something. In the initial emails before placing an order, the Garment Goddess would discuss anything that might change the estimates given; i.e. type of fabric, trim, whether any items needed hand-sewn vs. machine-sewn, etc. If she encountered any difficulties that would increase the original estimate, she would contact you immediately to discuss the problem.
The Garment Goddess will keep track of a log, which she can submit to you in an invoice if you wish, detailing the time spent on making your order.
Remember, these are the labor part of the charges, not the whole price. The final price would also include what fabric and trims you choose.
